About the Cabin

 

Arcularius’ on the River is located at 7,000 foot elevation in Long Valley, 17 miles northeast of Mammoth Lakes.  This 560 acre working cattle ranch has almost 2 miles of the Upper Owens River running through its green pastures and high desert terrain.  Its 360 degree view encompasses the Sierras to the South and Southwest, Glass Mountains to the North, Bald Mountain to the Northwest and the White Mountains to the East. These majestic views with their secluded surroundings provide an exclusive fly-fishing opportunity unequaled in the Eastern Sierra. 

 

The two story house-keeping cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with bathtub/shower, and a living and dining room area downstairs. The upstairs loft is furnished with one queen sized bed, one double bed, and two twin beds.  Linens and towels are furnished. The screened in porch provides a double Murphy bed for sleeping bag sleeping plus room to relax. 

 

The Cabin is a true “getaway” with no electricity and is equipped with propane lighting as well as a propane refrigerator and cooking stove.  Heating is provided through a wood-burning stove.  Wood is provided for the stove.

 

Outside there is a gas BBQ, picnic table, lounge and portable chairs available and a horse shoe pit for guests enjoyment. 

 

A windmill provides fresh, pure Sierra water.

 

Excellent fly-fishing awaits you at the Owens River which is accessible by foot and by vehicle with special permission if needs warrant it.  The renters of this sole cabin will enjoy exclusive access to the Owens River which will provide unique opportunities to make your visit to the Eastern Sierra memorable and unforgettable.
